The Beginning Reader's Bible

The Beginning Reader's Bible is not actually book for beginners. This Bible Story book is suitable for children who are able to read or for younger who enjoy pictures whilst parents are reading.

Oficially it's meant to be for children from 4 to 8. It is divided into three parts – 13 stories from Old Testament, 13 stories from New Testament and 12 Resources to Guide Children which include e.g. Books of the Bible, Jesus Loves Me song or The Ten Commandments.

Each story is 2-4 pages long which is enough to keep attention of the reader or listener. Each story contains Remember God's Word and Prayer God's Word box which is memory verse and prayer connected with the story and Do God's Word which is some fun activity for the child to do.

Illustrations made by Marijke ten Cate are very nice with lot of details included. I appreciated that text is not rhymed but uses real passsages from the International Children’s Bible®. One thing I missed is that despite of the fact that there is table of contents in the beginning of the book, there are no page numbers in the book.

But overally I do recommend this Bible story book as this is one of the best in the market according to my opinion.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com <http://BookSneeze®.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
